Pullman Park Mural project

Visuals and ideas from the mural will be solicited from the community surrounding Pullman Park. Youth from Groundwork Richmond and Girls Inc will work on the design and paint the mural during the summer. Richmond artist Rebeca Garcia-Gonzalez will lead this process.

New Pullman Park mural needs your support

The Pullman Park mural will make visible the contributions of Latino immigrants in Richmond and affirm the reasons immigrant families chose to face the dangerous journey to the US. It a public art piece in opposition to the negative view of immigrant Latinos seen on the media, aiming to uplift the Latino viewers and inform the everyone else.

Two-thirds of the funding for this mural comes from the East Bay Fund for Artists at the East Bay Community Foundation, and we are raising the rest from individual contributors like you, to pay for the wall, food and painting supplies.
