ABout Richmond Rising
The Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) program funds projects aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving local environmental, economic, and health outcomes in disadvantaged communities. Richmond Rising, supported by the California Strategic Growth Council, uses strategies like transit access, solar energy installation, home water efficiency, urban greening, and health initiatives to empower and protect Richmond’s residents. These projects range from bike lanes to solar installations, and workforce development programs will begin in Fall 2023.
