Urban Forestry

Planting Trees to Clean the Air Locally:

In partnership with the City of Richmond and local partner organizations, we are implementing a city-wide program to restore the local urban forest. As the city's designated Urban Forestry Administrator, we engage the community, plant trees to reduce pollution, and track greenhouse gas sequestration to better understand and improve our community. As of October 2017, Groundwork has personally planted 628 trees with many more to come!
