Morgan Valdivieso - Communications Coordinator
Morgan Valdivieso began working in community development in 2012 as a documentarian, interviewer, and participant in community service projects as part of the Green Screen team. She went on to serve as an AmeriCorps LISC intern and the Volunteer Program Coordinator to urban agriculture organization, Urban Tilth. Developing knowledge of community outreach, marketing, and racial & environmental justice, she put it to use in coordinating volunteers with the help of the site managers. In 2015 she began working with Groundwork Richmond as a Marketing Intern and quickly grew into the position of Communications Coordinator. She is presently responsible for engaging youth and the Richmond community in the work of the organization, acting as the photographer for various events, giving presentations, managing the organization’s social media presence, facilitating communication with the press, and producing various marketing materials such as fliers, posters, brochures and more. She is also studying Sustainable Agriculture at the Merritt College Landscape Horticulture Department.
